Arbutus unedo - Strawberry tree

Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) is an evergreen Mediterranean tree grown for its sweet, red autumn fruit, eaten raw or made into jams and preserves. Its honey-scented flowers attract bees, and it tolerates a wide range of soils, including lime. It is described as 2-3 m tall with a 2-4 m crown,¹ 4-8 m tall and wide in cultivation,² or up to 10-12 m on favourable sites.³
