Shellbark Hickory (Carya laciniosa) is a large deciduous tree producing edible nuts similar to shagbark hickory but larger. The nuts are nutritious and used in baking and as snacks. Shellbark hickory wood is strong and durable, used for tools, furniture, and flooring.
