Black Hawthorn (Crataegus douglasii) is a deciduous shrub or small tree producing clusters of small black berries. The berries are used in traditional medicine and as food for wildlife. Black Hawthorn is also valued for its attractive white flowers and its use in hedgerows and windbreaks.
