White wormwood (Artemisia herba-alba) is a small, aromatic evergreen shrub of dry steppe and desert soils across cold semi-arid interior Spain and North Africa, long used as a herbal remedy and fuel plant. Skin contact with some Artemisia species can cause dermatitis in sensitive people.
