Rush skeletonweed (Chondrilla juncea) is a wiry, deep-rooted biennial/perennial herb native to southern and western Europe, its young leaves eaten as a wild salad in France. It is a serious rangeland weed where introduced outside Europe, notably in parts of North America and Australia.
