Olive-leaved daphne (Daphne oleoides) is a low evergreen shrub of southern Europe, North Africa, and West Asia to the Himalayas, growing 0.1-0.5 m tall and wide.1 All parts of the plant are poisonous, and its sap can irritate skin, so it is not used as a food.21 Its roots are used as a purgative, and its bark and leaves are applied to the skin medicinally.2
