Bittersweet nightshade (Solanum dulcamara) is a perennial climber of hedgerows and moist banks across Europe, North Africa, and temperate Asia. All parts of the plant, including the fruit, are mildly poisonous — adverse effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and dilated pupils.1
