Staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina) is a deciduous shrub or small tree known for its distinctive, fuzzy branches and bright red fruit clusters. The tart, lemony berries are used to make a flavorful spice and beverages. Staghorn sumac is also valued for its striking autumn foliage and erosion control properties.
