Jacket plum (Pappea capensis) is a long-lived, drought-tolerant evergreen tree of cold semi-arid bushveld and rocky outcrops across eastern and southern Africa, its tart fruit eaten fresh and its seed oil used for cooking and as a hair and skin remedy.
