Drias plant (Thapsia garganica) is a perennial herb of rocky slopes and fields across the Mediterranean, from Iberia to Turkey and North Africa. Its root yields a resin with a long history of medicinal use, but the plant is poisonous to livestock and the resin is strongly irritant to skin.1
