Plantago coronopus - Buck's-horn plantain

Buck’s-horn plantain (Plantago coronopus) is an annual or perennial herb of coastal Europe, North Africa and western Asia, growing in sandy and rocky ground. Its tender young leaves, one of the ingredients of the Italian “misticanze” salad mix, are among the better-tasting of the plantains.¹
